# Admin oversight of every agent in Deal Engine

## In summary

Admins in Deal Engine can now see every agent in their organisation in one place, whoever created it. From the new **Manage Agents** page you can edit any agent, deactivate the ones you no longer need, and bring back agents that were switched off. Your admin access works the same way whether you're in Deal Engine or working through Claude with the Deal Engine connector.

## Why it matters

As more of your team builds their own sourcing agents, it gets harder to know what's running and who owns it. Until now, an agent could only be changed by the person who created it, so a private agent was invisible to everyone else.

With admin access you can:

- **Keep an overview** of every agent on your platform, including private agents and ones that have been deactivated.
- **Step in on anyone's behalf** to tweak an agent's details or thesis, without waiting for its owner.
- **Tidy up** by deactivating agents that are no longer needed, for example when a project ends or a colleague moves on.
- **Restore** a deactivated agent with a single switch.

## How to use it

1. **Open Manage Agents.** Go to **Configuration** and choose **Manage Agents**. (Users who only manage their own agents will see this page as **My Agents**.)
2. **Choose your view.** Use the **All agents** / **My agents** tabs at the top right of the toolbar to switch between every agent on the platform and the ones you own.
3. **Find the agent you need.** Search by name, or filter by status (**Active** or **Inactive**). The table shows each agent's owner and whether it's **Public** or **Private**.
4. **Make changes.** Open the actions menu on any row to **Edit basic details**, **Edit agent**, **View thesis** or **Create from** it as a starting point for a new agent. You'll also see **Edit agent** in the header when you open any sourcing agent.
5. **Deactivate or reactivate.** Use the switch on each row. A reactivated agent appears straight away for anyone subscribed to it, with no page refresh needed.

If you follow a link to a deactivated agent, you'll see a shortcut back to Manage Agents so you can switch it on again.

## The same access in Claude

If you use Deal Engine through Claude with our MCP connector, your admin access comes with you. You can ask Claude to list every agent in your organisation, review one, or make changes, and it will respect exactly the same permissions as the Deal Engine app. Your access is consistent however you choose to work.

## Getting access

Admin access is an optional permission added to a user's existing role. You log in with your usual details; the permission simply lets you see and manage every agent, on top of the agents you own. Everyone else's experience is unchanged: creators still manage their own agents, and other users see the agents shared with them.

This feature is available now, from release 3.89.0. To give admin access to someone in your organisation, contact your Deal Engine account team.
