Log your own interactions in Deal Engine

In summary

If your team doesn't have a CRM connected to Deal Engine, you can now record your own meetings, calls and notes directly against any company. Your interactions appear on the company's Interactions tab, so your whole team can see the history of every relationship in one place.

Why it matters

Until now, the Interactions tab only showed activity synced from a CRM. Without a CRM, it stayed empty, and your deal history lived in inboxes, spreadsheets and people's heads.

Now Deal Engine can be your lightweight CRM. You can:

  • Keep a record of every conversation with a company, right next to the data you use to evaluate it.
  • Get up to speed fast by checking who last spoke to a company and what was discussed, before you reach out.
  • Share context across your team, so nobody approaches the same company twice without knowing it.

How to use it

  1. Open a company. Go to the company's profile and select the Interactions tab.
  2. Add an interaction. Create a new interaction and fill in the details, such as whether it was a meeting, a call or a note, when it happened and what was discussed.
  3. Save it. Your interaction appears straight away in the interactions table, alongside any others logged for that company.
  4. Edit or delete it. If something changes or was logged by mistake, open the interaction from the table to update or remove it.

Good to know

  • For teams without a CRM. Logging interactions by hand is available when no CRM is connected to your Deal Engine instance. If you do use a CRM, your interactions continue to sync from it as before.
  • Visible to your whole team. Interactions you log can be seen by everyone in your organisation, so keep that in mind when you write your notes.
